Patientensicher kommunizieren - Schadensfälle vermeiden. Durch eine patientensichere Kommunikation sei eine erhebliche Anzahl von Schadensfällen in Krankenhäusern vermeidbar, erklärte Prof. Dr. Annegret F. Hannawa, Professorin für Gesundheitskommunikation, Fakultät für Kommunikationswissenschaften, Universität Lugano (USI), Schweiz. Ihre Vision sei daher, dass in jedem Krankenhaus eine Person nur für diese sichere Kommunikation zuständig sei.

According to the World Health Organization, patient safety is a serious global public health issue. Research has shown that there are an estimated 200,000 preventable patient deaths each year in the United States - making it the third leading cause of death.
